Our History
This mighty old mansion has been many things: a convent in the 1960s; regional offices for Easter Seals and the United Way in the 1980s; a rehab-treatment facility in the 2000s.
When we first looked at it, we saw its potential as a one-of-a-kind destination wedding venue.
Upon researching the history of the property, we learned that Duncan McIntosh, the first owner, and James A. Snyder, the second owner, both held weddings at the mansion.
This is a photo taken inside the mansion of Mary Jane Downey, who married James Albert Snyder, Jr. on December 6, 1945.
With every wedding we host, we pay homage to the enduring spirit of love that has graced our mansion for over a century, inviting couples to write their own love story within its storied walls.
You are cordially invited to join us as we continue the grand tradition of weddings at Wildcat, where history, elegance, and romance come together to create memories that will last a lifetime.
