Wildcat Mansion
The Historic Wedding Destination
You are cordially invited to Wildcat Mansion. The name draws inspiration from the 19th century wildcatters who ventured to Northwest Pennsylvania during the oil boom years. Originally built for Standard Oil President Duncan McIntosh, our property boasts a mansion, carriage house, pavilion and numerous outdoor spaces for your dream wedding ceremony and reception. With overnight accommodations for up to 60 guests in both Wildcat Mansion and the Carriage House, you can plan a 24-hour or weekend wedding celebration. Located in Franklin, PA, just 90 minutes from Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Erie and Youngstown, we invite you to write your own chapter of history at Wildcat.
Glen Moy
Duncan McInosh, the original owner of the mansion, was of Scottish descent and named his beloved picnic area a short hike from the mansion Glen Moy (“My Glen”). A winding hillside path leads you through the woods to this secluded sanctuary where a picturesque wedding arch awaits, constructed beside gently flowing spring water. A nearby stone fireplace and oven are poised upon rustic stone tiles, making it easy to see why the McIntosh family would spend endless weekends picnicking in this enchanted setting.
The Meadow
A second serene location for your wedding ceremony is nestled beside the mansion. Accessible via a wide path or stone stairway, the Meadow offers a serene backdrop for your outdoor ceremony. A charming wooden wedding arch awaits, framed by majestic trees and surrounded by lush greenery. With wood chips underfoot and ample seating provided by chairs and benches, this conveniently located outdoor space.
The Pavilion
Adjacent to the mansion, our Pavilion offers easy accessibility with direct access to the kitchen or food trucks in the parking lot. With strung overhead lights illuminating the spacious pavilion and concrete area, it's the perfect setting for an outdoor dinner and dancing under the stars. Enhancing the atmosphere is a captivating four-story mural by local artist Deac Mong, interpreting the history of the mansion through a modern lens.
The Carriage House
Across the parking lot, the original carriage house built in 1900 is now a sprawling fun zone that offers not only additional lodging but also an array of amenities, including the Carriage House Shoppes, a 50s diner, a 20-seat screening room, a magic cottage and a secret chamber. Coming soon: a racing motion simulator room. Expect the unexpected and elevate your wedding experience at this thoroughly modernized carriage house.
